For Adjusters

Get started today by joining our adjuster roster. Apply online at www.iasclaims.com/register. Once you have completed and submitted your initial information, you will receive an email with a link to log into your profile and provide further details. You will be asked to upload a photo and recent resume, as well as, enter your license information and certifications.

Once you register and create an adjuster profile, you will be contacted by our recruiting team. We will take the time to review your experience, licenses and certifications. We want to get to know you and want you to know us.

We at IAS are excited to expand our family of adjusters. Positions that we are often looking for are residential property field adjusters, commercial field adjusters, desk adjusters and QA/file reviewers. We currently staff for CAT and daily assignments.

First, keep your adjuster profile updated with your availability, licenses (renewed and new) and any new certifications you may have obtained. Second, respond in a timely manner to any communications you receive from us. This could include texts, emails or voicemails. By keeping your profile up to date and keeping in touch with us, it will help us determine what positions you may be qualified for as assignments arise.

Log into 1000.claimaticapp.com to update your profile or contact us at recruiting@iasclaims.com to speak with a member of our recruiting team. We look forward to speaking with you and will reach out as soon as possible.

If you live in a licensing state you must have your resident state license. If you live in a non-licensing state, we recommend you obtain a designated home state license. There are currently 34 states that require a license. If you are interested in desk adjusting, we recommend you obtain as many licenses as possible to increase your marketability for assignments. If you have specific questions regarding licenses, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at recruiting@iasclaims.com.

Many of our larger clients require independent adjusters to go through their certification process prior to working their claims. IAS also works with clients that currently do not require adjuster certifications. However, to increase your opportunities with our company, we recommend acquiring all certifications available.

The majority of our carrier clients require Xactimate. If you are new to adjusting, we recommend you learn the program through either a classroom setting or online courses. Once you have taken the training, we recommend you obtain your Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. Training and certification exams are offered through Xactware direct. You can also sign up for classes through multiple training schools and online sources.

We always look forward to hearing from our adjusters. You can contact us at recruiting@iasclaims.com. Someone from our recruiting team will follow-up with you and assist with any questions you may have.

If you experience technical issues or have questions regarding the Claimatic System please contact your assigned operations manager for the client you were assigned.

IAS pays adjusters twice per month without any holdbacks.

*Worth noting, the file must be approved by our quality assurance department prior to payment as well.

We continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, and how it may affect you. To adjusters who are actively working claims, please follow the CDC guidelines unless other restrictions or guidelines set by local, state municipalities take precedence or any client-specific guidelines have been provided by IAS. Our primary concern is to ensure your safety while still providing the best possible claims service. We are currently following the steps below to help ensure everyone’s safety and to help reduce the spread of the virus.

  • If you are sick or have potentially been exposed to COVID-19, inform your IAS contact and do not perform inspections
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover (or suitable mask) when performing interior inspections
  • Avoid close contact with others (6 feet)
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and often

If you have any issues or concerns, please reach out to your IAS contact for communication or clarification. Additional prevention and quarantine guidelines are available here: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/communication-plan.html

IAS Claim Services believes adjusters are a vital part of the IAS team. You don’t have to feel like a number, moving from company to company, with an uncertain future. We try hard to take care of our adjuster partners by providing competitive fee schedules, paying consistently, ensuring a steady supply of daily claims to keep you busy, discounts on the gear you need, an efficient QA process to ensure a good product, easy access to leaders and extensive training. Worth noting, we have added several new clients and greatly expanded PIF counts in multiple geographies this year! This is a great time to join our team.

For Carriers

IAS Claim Services is a full-service independent adjusting firm. We offer field, desk, third-party administrator, and staffing services. IAS areas of expertise include daily claims, catastrophe events, commercial, large loss, and flood-related perils. IAS also provides ancillary services, such as file review, appraisal/umpire, and claims audits.

IAS provides service in all 50 states. We have the capacity to handle multiple large events simultaneously.

IAS Claim Services has been in business since 1985. We have 35+ years of experience working daily claims and almost every major catastrophe event during that time.

IAS leverages a proprietary claims management platform called Claimatic that allows us to triage claims quickly and assign them to the most qualified adjuster based on capacity, expertise, and proximity to the loss.

IAS is familiar with the most common estimating platforms used by carriers. We have knowledge of both Xactimate and Symbility platforms, but can adapt to other systems, should our carrier partners have a particular preference.

IAS uses a hybrid model that includes both W2 and 1099 resources. IAS maintains a large national roster of the best adjusters in the business.

IAS’ fees depend greatly on numerous factors, such as footprint, volume, scope, complexity, and peril type. IAS strives to ensure that our clients are comfortable with those parameters and can work under a tiered schedule or perform at a time and expense (T&E) rate. We are happy to work within a schedule that is mutually beneficial.

IAS Claim Services employs a full-time recruiting and training staff which is part of our shared services department. This dedicated team, vets our adjusters through background checks, license verification, and training certifications.

  • When a new IA registers with IAS, the adjuster’s profile is reviewed and evaluated to determine the level of current experience, as well as the training necessary to satisfy client-specific claim handling requirements. Our training methods include a wide array of onsite (face-to-face) training classes, online (webinar-based) platforms, ride-a-longs, and one on one mentoring.
  • IAS Academy is an online training and testing platform developed to educate adjusters on IAS Claim Services’ standard guidelines and expectations. Beyond this, the platform can be used for adjusters to become carrier accredited and to keep up with our industry’s ever-changing technology, standards, and best practices.

IAS has a large, tenured quality assurance team that reviews 100% of files before they are returned to our carrier partners. All documents are reviewed by an IAS quality reviewer who is specially trained and dedicated to the client, ensuring all files comply with all client-specific file requirements. Each claim file is evaluated on its own merit, to adhere not only to the client specifications, but also to reflect the IAS standard of file quality.

Yes. Our customer-centric model allows the client to be the central focus of our operations. IAS assigns a Vice President of Operations (VP) to each client. The VP  has end-to-end accountability and is responsible for all operations, functions/processes, training, QA, and governance aspects of the client’s needs. The VP has a dedicated support staff, that helps manage the day-to-day operations, ensures quality assurance, and maintains IAS standards and metrics. This team begins involvement during onboarding and stays with you throughout your entire engagement with IAS.
