Irene Negrete joined the company in 2013 and is currently serving as TPA Manager for IAS Claim Services. Irene oversees claims for SWBC, of which services provided include claim intake, desk and field loss adjusting, and full trust accounting and transaction reporting. IAS’ services for SWBC encompass national, residential and commercial property claims as well as general liability claims.
Prior to joining IAS, Irene spent the last 10 years as a Manager for Crawford & Company. As a TPA Manager, she was responsible for the investigation and settlement of complex personal and commercial first and third-party property and auto claims as well as accountable for directing the adjustment of those claims through subordinates and the quality of results achieved. She was instrumental in establishing procedures for the dedicated client. Irene also served as a Casualty Manager, where she managed all casualty field adjusters in the state of Texas. While at Crawford & Company, Irene was part of a team that received the Circle of Excellence Award. She was recognized for the highest supervisory audit score in 2011 and for a perfect supervisory audit score in 2010.
Prior to working at Crawford & Company, she spent 27 years at USAA. During her tenure there, she held various positions including property trainer, senior adjuster, senior property examiner, and property manager.
Irene studied business studies at Our Lady of the Lake University. She holds designations in Property Claims Law Associate (PCLA), Law of Claims Fraud Investigation and Defense, Legal Principles of Claim Specialists, Associate of Insurance Services (AIS), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and completion of a Certificate of General Insurance. Irene is a member of the Alamo Chapter of CPCU where she has previously served on their board of directors.
She is married with two sons and is a proud grandmother. She is very active in her church where she is involved in music ministry and directs the bilingual choir and enjoys spending time with her family.
