John Reed is the Vice President of Personal Lines for IAS Claim Services and has been with the company for over 19 years. In his current position, John is responsible for the personal lines division nationwide including management of marketing and sales, quality control, recruiting and field operations. John previously managed IAS’ Louisiana division since joining the company in 1995. He has been heavily involved with multiple hurricane events throughout his career including extensive claims during Hurricane Katrina as well as post-Katrina mediations.
Prior to joining IAS, John began his career in the claims industry working for GAB Robins as a multi-line field adjuster working for the claims office located in Lafayette, LA where he adjusted both property and casualty claims. After leaving GAB, John worked for Louisiana Farm Insurance Bureau Company as a licensed property and casualty agent where he was presented with the All-Star Accommodation in 1991 by the Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company for outstanding accomplishment. He then went on to work for Crawford & Company as a multi-line adjuster and handled both casualty and property claims.
John holds a Property Technical Certification (PTC) and a Louisiana Adjusters License. His claims-related involvement includes membership in the Baton Rouge Claims Association and the Louisiana Claims Association. John graduated from the University of Southern Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and was a member of the Mu Kappa Tau Honor Society.
John enjoys tailgating at LSU football games, tournament baseball with his son, hunting and fishing. He is also involved in a crawfish farming operation which is owned by his family.
