As Executive Vice President of Third-Party Administration (TPA) Operations, David Terry is responsible for the entire department that provides companies a cost-effective alternative to outsource part - or all - of the claims management process. David has also played an integral part in the company’s growth and assisting IAS in becoming one of the top independent adjusting firms in the U.S.
David ensures IAS tailors claim services to clients’ needs providing 'cradle-to-grave' services (from claim origination through payment) for property and casualty claims, or through administration of any part for the customer. He also serves as a liaison between IAS and various clients nationwide.
David has worked in the claims industry for over 50 years and began his career with GAB Robins in 1963 where he worked as a property and casualty adjuster and later as a branch manager. He then joined IAS Claim Services in 1985 as Partner/General Manager. He then began serving as President of the company until 2009 until taking over operations in his current position.
David holds certifications in Associates in Claims (AIC) and has business training in property, casualty and management schools as well as business law. He has also previously served as President of the Dallas Claims Association. He earned his BBA and MBA in Business from Texas Christian University (TCU) where he also played collegiate baseball. David served in the Air Force Reserve in 1963-1964.
David is married with one son and enjoys golfing and running 5K and 10K races. He is also very involved in his local church.
